Zendaya did her own makeup for the 2022 Oscars
Zendaya might just be a quadruple threat: actress, singer, dancer, and now, makeup artist.
The “Euphoria” star, 25, revealed on Instagram earlier this week that she did her own makeup for the 2022 Oscars.
On the red carpet, she paired silver eyeshadow, a glossy nude lip and bronzed cheeks with her Valentino Haute Couture crop top and sequined skirt.
“Every now and then I do my own beat,” the “Dune” beauty told her 136 million followers in her Stories, sharing a snap of the look.
She went on to share a photo of her look for the Vanity Fair afterparty, where she teamed her black Sportmax pantsuit with a more dramatic, smokey makeup look.
“And then I switched up the eye,” she quipped.
The Lancôme ambassador tagged the beauty brand in both pics, suggesting that she used its products to achieve both looks.
Zendaya usually works with makeup artist Sheika Daley, who did model Anok Yai and former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland’s makeup for Oscars weekend. Before the festivities kicked off, she shared a throwback photo of the star at the 2018 Oscars.
Daley previously told Vogue UK that Zendaya “takes chances and likes to experiment with new ideas.”
This isn’t the first time Z’s served as her own makeup artist. In January 2016, she posted a selfie with the caption, “I need to start doing makeup tutorials” (the world is still waiting).
The same year, she shared a few “DIY makeup tips” with Teen Vogue, telling her followers to take off their makeup before bed and “go with the natural idea of your eyebrows.”
But Zendaya’s homemade glam wasn’t the only noteworthy aspect of her Oscars look.
As fans pointed out on TikTok, the star also stacked her wrists with approximately six Bvlgari Serpenti bracelets — which cost between $28,600 and $52,000 a pop.
