Woman removes old manicure by setting nails on fire: ‘She must be nuts’

A woman is flaming to please her fans with a wild, new nail hack.

Lyubov, 22-year-old content creator from Yaroslavl, Russia, shared an Instagram clip showing her nails seemingly burning up in a nail-biting hack meant to get rid of her old manicure.

The post, which has gone viral since its publication July 1, shows her old polish apparently on fire, accompanied by a caption in Russian that reads: “How does your manicurist remove your old coating?” However, the caption also includes a smiley face and the doubt-inducing words “FAKE FIRE.”

The post has garnered more than 878,000 likes and many comments — with fans feeling divided over the nail tip. The post was even liked by beauty magazine Allure as well as singer Billie Eilish.

“Someone make some sense of this,” one user wondered into the IG abyss.

Another person scribed: “Oh yeah she Must be nuts! I am not trying to harm myself or anybody in any way do you know the horrible things that could go wrong, people who don’t have hands they don’t have the use of their fingers. We have they used to set them on fire? Really?”

Viewers were worried for the influencer’s safety, with one noting, “Am I the only one that tries to blow the fire so it won’t hurt her?”

“Those were some nice nails,” one user said. “Damn, I accidentally set my nail on fire once and it was super painful, my nails were about the same length,” one person explained.

Lyubov told NeedToKnow.online about why she decided to seemingly set her mani up in smoke.

“I accidentally set my nail on fire when I lit a candle and realized that my nails burned well,” she stated without addressing whether the flames were indeed real or whether the procedure actually worked.

“I had an appointment for a manicure, and since the master and I are on good terms, I suggested that she shoot such a video together,” she claimed.

“Honestly, I didn’t expect this video to be recommended and get 10 million views. But I am very happy about this, because for me as a blogger it is very cool,” the proud social media starlet said.
