Trump complains about ‘violent’ Fulton County jail

Former president Donald Trump griped about the “violent” Fulton County jail after he was briefly booked at the facility on Thursday.

“It’s violent. The building is falling apart. Inmates have dug their fingers into the crumbling walls and ripped out chunks to fashion over 1,000 shanks,” Trump said in a fundraising email to his supporters Friday. “It’s worse than you could even imagine. Just this year alone, 7 inmates have died in that jail.

“Seeing the third world state of that jail made me even more determined to run for President and save our country from permanent decline,” Trump added.

The Fulton County Jail is among the more notorious local lockups in the United States.

“It’s disgusting. It’s dirty. It’s dangerous,” former Georgia prosecutor Chris Timmons told ABC News Thursday.

The Trump email quickly pivoted into money mode — urging followers to dig deep to support his campaign.

Trump offered vigorous complaints about Fulton County jail.

The Georgia jail is one of the more notorious lockups in the country.

Trump noted in the fundraising email that seven inmates have died at Fulton County Jail so far this year.

“If you are doing poorly due to these very bad people who are letting America burn to the ground, then please don’t donate,” Trump cautioned. “But if you can, please make a contribution to SAVE AMERICA.”

The Fulton County booking is Trump’s fourth of 2023 even as he remains the Republican frontrunner for president.
