The Wiggles perform by dying fan’s hospital bed in heartbreaking video

The Wiggles stars made a terminally ill girl’s wish come true after they paid the young fan a visit in hospital just before she died.

Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie and new Blue Wiggle Lucia Field visited dying Zahra’s bedside just before she passed away last month to perform a sweet rendition of Twinkle Twinkle alongside Dorothy the Dinosaur.

This week, her grieving mom shared a special moment on TikTok as she looked back on her daughter’s final days before she passed away from Leigh syndrome, a rare neurometabolic disorder that affects the central nervous system.

“On Zahra’s last day, she got a special visit from her fav Wiggles,” Zahra’s mom wrote in the video shared on her @keish-el account.

In the caption, she added, “This day was so special to us, Zahra was obsessed with the Wiggles and for them to come and see her is a memory we will never forget.”

Lucia, who is the daughter of original Blue Wiggle Anthony Field, commented: “Lachy and I were so grateful to have met your beautiful family. May your beautiful little girl be happily resting”.

The heartbreaking video has since received more than 85,000 views on TikTok.

According to another video shared on the TikTok account, the family’s “lives changed forever” in April when little Zahara “was taken to emergency because she was going blue in her sleep”.

She was immediately taken to the intensive care unit after an MRI showed inflammation on her brain stem.

Although her condition improved briefly with the help of a bi-pap machine — a non-invasive breathing support — her health took a turn in May and she has diagnosed Leigh syndrome her distraught parents were told Zahara “wouldn’t make it off the breathing tube”.

On her last day on earth, her doctors and parents gave her “one full day” off the tube where she got to do “all her favorite things with family and friends”, including the Wiggles.
