Teacher Tyesha Bolden accused of molesting teen in park bought him a gun for his 14th birthday: cops

A teacher at a private Christian school accused of sexually assaulting an eighth-grade student allegedly gifted him a gun for his 14th birthday before he ran away in a relative’s car.

Tyesha Bolden, 34, and the boy met while she was teaching at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin last fall and exchanged over 2,200 text messages — some allegedly containing nude images and flirtatious language.

Bolden was released on $2,500 bond this week on felony charges of second-degree child sex assault and giving a dangerous weapon to a child, Fox News Digital reported.

In June, Bolden took the boy to a wooded park at least once to allegedly molest him, police said.

The teen later told police he then asked Bolden to buy him a Glock 19 handgun because he couldn’t go out without “protection.”

Bolden bought the handgun and ammunition and gifted it to the teenage victim along with some books for his 14th birthday, the criminal complaint alleges.

One night while he was sleeping, the victim’s parents went through his phone and discovered a topless selfie of the teacher, as well as other photos allegedly showing her naked in the shower or with hickeys on her neck.

By July, the teen asked Bolden for money and a second gun. She allegedly gave him $1,000 on July 21 but declined to buy him another gun, prompting them to stop talking, the victim told police.

Four days later, the victim’s parents reported him missing to police and said he may have been staying at his teacher’s home.

The missing teen was located by police in nearby West Allis, who allegedly pulled him over while he was carrying the same Glock 19 his teacher had purchased for him weeks before, cops said.

Police then told a school administrator about the allegations against Bolden, who admitted to having a student spend “a night at her residence earlier that year,” according to court filings.

Bolden was promptly fired.

In a statement to Fox, Bolden’s former employer LUMIN Schools said it reported her to police as soon as they had learned of the violations of their “standards of conduct.”

“On August 15, the Brown Deer Police notified LUMIN that their investigation uncovered additional information and the former teacher was placed under arrest,” LUMIN Schools said.
