Taylor Swift movie hits theaters same day as new ‘Exorcist’ flick, could be next double feature craze

The power of Swift compels them!

Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s concert movie opens in theaters the same day as the new “Exorcist” horror flick — an unlikely pairing with head-spinning “double feature” potential, fans said Thursday.

The singer’s feel-good “Eras Tour” film and the spine-tingling “Exorcist: Believer” will both hit the big screen on Oct. 13 —  Friday the 13th — drawing comparisons to the summer’s “Barbenheimer” movie combo phenomenon.

The release date timing sparked its own hashtag — #Exorswift — and plenty of devilish commentary on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

“Move over #Barbenheimer, here comes #Exorswift,” wrote one fan wrote, referencing the summer’s “Barbie” movie and “Oppenheimer” double feature trend.

“I don’t know about you, but I feel like possessing youuuuuuuuuu,” a second fan quipped, spoofing a lyric from Swift’s tune “22.”

Another observer was less thrilled about the odd couple movie pairing — deadpanning, “I can’t wait to miss it.

The online buzz began soon after Swift posted news about the “The Eras Tour” movie release date earlier in the day Thursday.
