Staffers flee RFK Jr.’s presidential campaign

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign has been hit with an exodus of staffers reportedly fed up with the campaign’s inept leadership, extravagant spending and poor organization.

Since the start of the year, 14 members of Kennedy’s fledgling campaign have quit, reported Mediaite, citing multiple sources speaking to the outlet anonymously.

One source close to the campaign cast the blame for the chaos on Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, campaign manager and Kennedy’s daughter-in-law, and on Del Bigtree, the campaign’s anti-vaxxer communications director, who were both slammed as “self-serving” and acting for “their own personal advancement.”

“The campaign is a mess because upper management consists of people who are serving their own needs rather than the candidate’s,” another source complained. “There is no one with any political experience and it shows.”

Campaign workers were reportedly taken aback by the recent release of FEC reports revealing outsized payments to some of the leaders.

Bigtree’s firm KFP Consulting was paid $35,000 in December alone; an LLC registered to campaign COO Matthew Sanders earns $21,000 a month, and another entity linked to campaign aide Charles Eisenstein earned more than $64,000 in the last three months of 2023, according to the filings.

“When the reports came out and everyone saw the obscene amount of money some people are making, while they are often paying for their own promotional materials out of pocket and can’t get their gas stipend covered, many people started thinking those people are scamming and skimming to line their pockets,” a campaign worker said.

The worker recalled one instance when staffers were affronted to see Bigtree taking part in a Zoom meeting from a ski resort.

“Del is running around spending money lavishly,” another source said. “He’s doing Zoom calls from the slopes with champagne while many people are volunteers and not getting paid.”
