See inside an airplane — as it crash lands on a busy highway

It’s a point of view you hope never to witness for yourself.

The moment a small plane shudders in the air before a dramatic crash-landing on a road in Panama has been caught on camera — from inside the aircraft.

Miraculously, the four people on board the Cessna Skyhawk survived the emergency when the single-engine aircraft landed on an avenue near Albrook International Airport outside of Panama City on Monday, May 1.

The terrifying endeavor back to land was captured on camera by a passenger as the engine spluttered and faltered, eventually abruptly landing, with the panicked sounds of others on board providing a soundtrack to the nightmare.

In the video, originally posted to Reddit, the passenger behind the camera appears to be sitting near the control, with the high-pitched whistle of the wind and tilting of the plane becoming more intense as it barrels towards the road below.

The Civil Aeronautical Authority of Panama reported that the plane had come from one of the country’s indigenous areas saying in a statement it had crashed near the Chinese-Panamanian School.

Luckily, because it was a bank holiday, the road was relatively empty when the plane crashed landed.

It was not reported if any of the survivors suffered any serious injuries in the crash.

First responders arrived on the scene when the aircraft landed to help the passengers and clear the plane’s wreckage from the road.

Flights out of Albrook International Airport, the busiest airport for domestic flights in Panama, were temporarily suspended.

The identities of those on board were not known at the time of this report.

Just last week, an elderly Floridian couple died when their single-engine plane crashed into a field in Georgia.

Robert and Sandra Denton, described by family and friends as “well-seasoned pilots,” were flying their family plane from Florida when they lost control and plummeted around 2:30 p.m. in Watkinsville, a town roughly 8 miles southwest of Athens.

The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA are investigating the crash.
