Robert Shiver helps wife Lindsay bail out of Bahamas jail

The former Auburn football player allegedly targeted by his wife in a murder-for-hire plot helped her and her accused accomplices bail out of prison in the Bahamas.

Prosecutors withdrew their objection Tuesday to the release of Linsday Shiver, 36, her alleged lover Terrance Bethel, 28, and Faron Newbold, 29, after speaking with Linday’s estranged husband Robert Shiver, Bahamas Court News reported.

Lindsay and her alleged accomplices were arrested on July 21 after police stumbled upon a plan to kill Robert, 38, while searching Bethel’s phone in an investigation over a burglary at a Bar on Great Guana Cay.

The three suspects were transported to the Fox Hill Prison in Nassau, but now Lindsay will be freed on a $100,000 cash bail.

She has agreed to wear an ankle bracelet and remain in The Bahamas, where she and Robert own a vacation home, until her court appearance on Oct. 5.

Bethel and Newbold were each granted a $20,000 bail and also agreed to wear tracking devices. The men will have to check in with the Marsh Harbour Police Station three times a week.

The trio will also surrender their travel documents and are banned from contacting Robert, the court ruled.

Representatives for the suspects could not immediately be reached for comment.

Robert was in his family’s mansion in Thomasville, Georgia, with his three kids when officials informed him of the murder plot allegedly orchestrated by his wife, whom he filed for divorce against in April over her “adulterous conduct.”

Robert told The Post that he’s still having trouble finding the strength to tell his boys about their mother’s arrest.

“My kids don’t know the whole thing yet. I’m going to try to tell them in the next day or so,” Shiver told The Post. “They’re young.”

Robert is seeking sole custody of their three children, as well as sole use of their $2.5 million Thomasville mansion. He also asked the Thomas County Superior Court to dismiss Lindsay’s alimony request.

A day after he filed for divorce, Linsday submitted her response to the court accusing Robert of domestic violence, cutting her off from his money, and “physical and mental cruel treatment.”

She was due to appear in court for a deposition on July 18, but it was rescheduled for Oct. 31 after she was arrested. It wasn’t immediately clear if she had been able to raise the $100,000 bail money to make bail on Wednesday.
