Pony spotted getting onto a UK bus

Maybe he thought it was the Pony Express.

Hilarious photos show a pony seemingly trying to hop onto a British bus.

The gray mount was recently spotted with its head and front legs on board the number 57 Stagecoach bus in Brixington, Exmouth, pics provided to Devon Live show.

“As you can imagine our driver was quite surprised to see a pony try to board the bus,” a company rep told the outlet.

“The driver pulled in to pick up passengers, when a person was walking past the bus with the pony and it decided to horse around by boarding the bus of its own accord.

“The pony was quite adamant that it wanted to take advantage of our current £2 fare offer,” the rep quipped off the equivalent of about $2.50.

“We are currently in discussions around what to charge the pony if it tries to get on board again,” the rep joked, adding: “A fare of a couple of bucks has been suggested.”

While the bizarre spectacle was likely the mane event of the day for those who saw it, it appears the pony wasn’t after a ride — but just wanted to say “hay.”

“A lady said it was just sticking its head in to say hello and then they came out and carried on its journey down the road,” a baffled witness told Devon Live.

The Brixington pony is not the only animal looking to take advantage of more horsepower recently: A man in Nebraska was pulled over this week for transporting a massive Watsubi bull in the passenger seat of his car.

“The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city,” local police said of the a-moo-sing incident.
