Police release mugshot of one of the Montgomery Riverfront brawlers

Police in Alabama released the mugshot of one of the brawlers in the wild melee at the Montgomery Riverfront as the remaining two suspects turned themselves in on Wednesday.

Richard Roberts, 48, was arrested on Tuesday when he turned himself in to the Selma Police Department and has since been transferred to Montgomery, where the attack took place.

Roberts was charged with two counts of third-degree assault for attacking Damien Pickett, co-captain of the entertainment boat Harriott II, over the weekend.

Allen Todd, 23, and Zachary Shipman, 25, were also charged with third-degree assault, and were transported to the Montgomery Police Department, the Selma Police Department confirmed to The Post on Wednesday.

Their mugshots have not been released.

The three men, among others, attacked Pickett and his 16-year-old coworker Aaren, who was identified by his parents, after Pickett attempted to “push” their pontoon boat out of the reserved docking space for the Harriott on the Montgomery Riverfront.

Montgomery police Chief Darryl Albert revealed yesterday at a press conference that the boat’s captain had been trying to contact the private boat owners for up to 45 minutes over the PA system, but was met with “obscene gestures” and “curse words.”

Pickett was then driven to shore on a smaller vessel by Aaren to move the boat out of the docking space.

Moments later, Pickett was accosted by the men. Various videos show one man in gray shorts lunged toward the co-captain.

The two men then hurl punches at each other as others join in. Within seconds, several men are seen running to the scene and attacking the fallen worker.

Albert said Pickett had only been “doing his job” when he went to move the private boat.

“There was no need for this event to take the path it did,” Albert said at a press conference. “The City of Montgomery is better than that.”

In another video, a man was seen wielding a folding chair during the attack. Police have identified him as Reggie Gray, 42, and are asking to speak with him. They did not indicate whether or not they plan to file charges against him.

After the fight was broken up, Pickett was the only person to seek medical attention, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
