My boss said my outfits aren’t ‘work appropriate’

Her boss has been skirting the issue.

Jennifer Huerta’s boss told her that the outfits she’s worn to work all year were too “inappropriate.”

Huerta posted a video on TikTok, which has gained nearly 40,000 views, in which she explains that her boss told her that her shirts are “too short.”

In the video, Huerta poses in a long-sleeved floral top and dark pants while spinning around so viewers can see the outfit from all angles.

“I got in trouble for dressing inappropriately at work,” reads the video caption.

“Because my shirts are too short. what do y’all think?”

The Post reached out to Huerta for comment.

Several people were quick to jump to Huerta’s defense, claiming her boss was being ridiculous.

“If yo boss a dude he jus mad he ain’t hitting and if it’s a girl she jus mad,” commented one user.

Huerta responded that her boss was gay so jealousy wasn’t the issue but she wondered why it took him a full year to go to the human resources department.

“He’s gay lol I don’t think he was jealous,” said Huerta. “But why wait a whole year to finally tell HR something about the way I dress?”

TikTokers showed their continued support throughout the comments thread.

“How? This looks completely appropriate to me. I don’t understand,” another said.

One person believed it was Huerta’s pants that might have been the issue.

“Leggings. Some places don’t accept leggings lol… I don’t know why,” stated another.

Huerta also responded that the pants were not leggings and she had worn them nearly every week. It was also revealed in the comments that the day after the incident, Huerta quit her job.
