Merch sites stock up with products featuring Special Counsel Jack Smith amid Trump case

Purveyors of political merchandise are stocking up on products featuring Jack Smith, the Department of Justice special counsel tasked with the prosecution of former President Donald Trump for allegedly mishandling classified information.

Online marketplace Etsy currently offers more than 50 Smith-themed products. Among the more colorful offerings are a “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” T-shirt, “Somebody’s Going To Get Jacked Up” mugs, “Jack Smith Fan Club” stainless steel water bottles, and “Jack-Hammer Smith” Copper Vacuum Insulated Bottles, Axios reported.

A second store, Zazzle, offers trucker hats, throw pillows, tote bags, baby blankets and aprons featuring the Special Counsel’s likeness. The retailer RedBubble has a sultry likeness of Smith on its novelty iPhone case.

The craze for Smith swag follows a similar fandom arising for so-called Trump slayers and adversaries in the past.

Former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci saw his face on socks and “In Fauci We Trust” stickers, while ex-Special Counsel Robert Mueller saw his likeness of prayer candles, “Mueller Time” bottles and many other items.
