Meghan, Harry risk ‘humiliation’ if they ever decide to return to royal life: royal expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry risk “humiliation” if they ever decided to rejoin the royal family in the UK, according to a royal expert.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the prospect of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returning to the monarchy as working members would be a “bizarre” move considering the damage done.

“This would be one of the most bizarre events in royal history if they did return after all the attacks,” Fitzwilliams said. “It would be a humiliation for Meghan and Harry.”

“The idea that after everything that has happened that Meghan and Harry could just walk back in is beyond extraordinary,” the royal expert added.

The decision was followed by a move to Canada, before the pair ultimately settled down in Montecito, California, amid their ongoing quest for “privacy.”

Their move sparked several high-publicity projects such as their six-part Netflix documentary, their bombshell sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, and Harry’s protocol-shattering memoir, “Spare.”

They have only returned to the UK a few times since.

It’s recently been reported that Harry may be looking to “turn his back” on Meghan’s star-studded Hollywood lifestyle.

They’ve since been criticized and ridiculed for their shocking revelations, with the animated sitcom “South Park” releasing an episode in which a royal couple who resembled the Sussexes were mercilessly mocked.

And if the couple, who are parents to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were to return to the royal fold, it’s expected that they wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms.

According to Harry’s former biographer, Angela Levin, Prince William, and Princess Catherine have been strongly advised to keep their eldest son, Prince George, away from his estranged uncle.

Levin made the stern warning to the royals in a desperate bid to keep George, the second in line to the throne, from walking a similar path to Harry.

“Kate and William are there to help him [George],” Levin told OK magazine. “But he needs to be kept away from Harry’s negative influence.”

“George doesn’t have a dysfunctional family, unlike William and Harry growing up, so he should fare better. Kate and William are there to help him. But he needs to be kept away from Harry’s negative influence,” she added.
