Man fatally shoots his killer during fight at train station

A fight at a California train station ended when one person fatally shot the man who stabbed him — before he also succumbed to his injuries and died, police said.

The deadly chaos erupted at around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Metro Green Line’s Crenshaw Station, in Hawthorne, when two men got into a physical fight, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

One of the men, identified only as someone in their mid-20s, pulled out a handgun in the middle of the brawl, with the other person, in his late 30s, taking out a knife and stabbing him as a result, deputies said.

The gunman was stabbed multiple times in the torso before firing his weapon, striking his stabber in the upper body.

The man armed with the knife then got off the train before collapsing on the ground, officials said.

The station is notably on the recommended route fans take to attend Taylor Swift’s latest concert at the SoFi Stadium on Thursday night, KTLA5 reports.

Several delays, however, have been reported since the station reopened.
