Man arrested for girlfriend’s murder at Topgolf after couple shared loving selfies

A Kentucky man was arrested by a SWAT team at a Top Golf over the weekend on suspicion of killing his girlfriend – just a few months after the couple shared loved-up selfies on social media.

David Alan Profitt II, 25, of Bowling Green, was apprehended “without incident” at Topgolf in Fishers, Indiana on Saturday, the Fishers Police Chief Ed Gebhart said.

Profitt was charged with murder and unlawful theft by taking related to the death of his girlfriend, 22-year-old Alexandra Hemmann.

Hemmann was found deceased from an “apparent homicide” in an apartment on Winners Circle in Bowling Green Saturday when local officers performed a welfare check, Detective David Grimsley said in a brief video statement Monday.

Hemmann and Profitt were a couple, and the latter was quickly identified as a prime suspect in the alleged killing, Grimsley said.

Indiana authorities were alerted once it was determined that Profitt likely fled to the Topgolf entertainment hub.

It is unclear how authorities knew he was there.

The Bowling Green Police Department did not immediately return The Post’s request for more details on the incident.

Less than three months before the killing, on May 29, both Hemmann and Profitt updated their Facebook profile photos to smiling selfies of the couple together.

“Living life to its fullest,” Profitt’s social media description reads.

“I’m happy all the time lol.”

Hemmann was originally from Connecticut and worked at Lowes, her Facebook says.

Some of those who knew her indicated that she was a victim of domestic violence.

“Alexandra Hemmann was a hoot!” coworker Monica Martin posted on Facebook.

“Please reach out if you or someone you know is going through domestic violence! Do not be silent!”

Another Lowes employee, Ronda Fields, shared multiple heartbroken tributes about “all 4’11”” of Hemmann.

“If you need help, it’s available, I will help you get help, some way somehow we will find a way,” she wrote in one post Sunday, alongside information on domestic violence resources.

Profitt is set to be transferred to Warren County Regional Jail in the coming days, police said.

He may face more charges once the case is presented to a grand jury, officials added.
