Jose Reyes, Jaqueline Macias arrested for kidnapping 18-year-old

A Texas couple has been charged after they allegedly kidnapped an 18-year-old woman, chained her to a bed inside their home and raped her for weeks, authorities said.

Jose Reyes, 31, and Jaqueline Macias, 29, were nabbed after the alleged victim managed to escape their Houston home via a window Sunday night before running door-to-door to alert neighbors, local outlet Fox 29 reported.

The distraught woman told authorities she had met the male suspect at an unidentified location about a month ago and that he’d convinced her to come to his home, Harris County Constable Mark Herman said.

“The whole script flipped almost immediately, and she was immediately held captive, tied up, and held in a room for approximately 30 days,” Herman told a press conference.

“At some point after they basically started holding her against her will, they began sexually assaulting her and other things. Just a very, very evil thing.”

When the teen realized Reyes and Macias had left their home Sunday night, she managed to break free of her restraints and flee through the window, cops said.

Once free, the barefoot victim began begging neighbors for help.

“She was in disarray, confused, as anyone would be, and wanted help,” Herman said.

Responding officers immediately noticed marks on her hands and legs that indicated she had been tied up, according to Herman.

The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her current condition wasn’t immediately known.

Meanwhile, her alleged abductors were taken into custody when they returned to their home a short time later, Herman said.

The home where the victim was allegedly held — The victim managed to escape from the Houston, Texas home when the suspects left briefly, authorities said.

Harris County Constable Mark Herman said the alleged victim had marks on her hands and feet that indicated she had been restrained.

Reyes and Macias were both slapped with kidnapping charges, but authorities say additional counts are possible as the probe unfolds.

Investigators are currently trying to determine more about the relationship between the victim and her alleged attackers and if the girl had been reported missing.

During a court appearance on Monday, Macias had her bond set at $50,000 while Reyes was held on a $100,000 bond.
