JonBenet Ramsey’s brother ties Gilgo Beach killer to sister’s murderer

The half-brother of murdered child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey said Saturday that his sister’s killer is likely hiding behind a suburban lifestyle — just like the accused Gilgo Killer did.

“No criminal record but you can’t hide this level of darkness. It will manifest itself in other areas of your life,” John Andrew Ramsey tweeted.

“Try as you might you can’t blend. JonBenet’s killer will likely have a similar bio. #psychopath.”

Ramsey — who was 23 years old when JonBenet was found strangled and with a blow to the head in the basement of the family’s home — was responding to a New York Times story quoting neighbors describing accused serial killer Rex Heuermann as “creepy.”

In spite of Heuermann’s apparently normal family life and successful Manhattan architecture firm, Massapequa Park residents reportedly warned their children to stay away from the 59-year-old man in the years before he was fingered as the suspect of four Long Island prostitutes.

Heuermann was arrested Thursday and charged with killing Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, and Amber Lynn Costello, 27, and is considering a prime suspect in the death of 25-year-old Maureen Brainard-Barnes.

The bodies of the “Gilgo Four” were found wrapped in burlap within a quarter-mile stretch of Ocean Parkway on Dec. 11, 2010, sparking fears of a serial killer.

Heuermann evaded arrest for 13 years, though was on the police’s radar since March 2022.

Suffolk County cops first named the father-of-two as a suspect six weeks after forming a brand new task force, the likes of which Ramsey believes could help in the hunt for his sister’s killer.

“LE has come along way since 1996. Turf wars are becoming a thing of the past with partnerships becoming standard operating procedure. This new approach just might net JonBenet’s killer,” Ramsey said.

Boulder police launched a renewed effort to find the 6-year-old’s killer in 2022 and are pursuing thousands of leads.

The investigation enlisted a fresh squad of experts to examine more than 21,000 tips, letters, and emails and interviews with more than 1,000 individuals, police said at the time.

JonBenet’s murder has gripped the nation in the nearly 30 years since it occurred and spurred countless conspiracies.

Some believe the girl’s parents carried out the killing, even after they were exonerated in 2008.

Others theorize her brother Burke, who was 9 at the time, had killed her and that his parents had covered up the crime via a bizarre ransom scheme.

Other theories range from classmate killers to passing grifters.
