I’m a travel influencer — my Bali vacation was ruined by my worst nightmare

She didn’t have a ball in Bali.

An Australian influencer broke down upon learning that her dream stay at a villa on the Indonesian island would inadvertently become her “worst nightmare” — thanks to a construction site smack dab next to her residence.

“Honestly, I feel like crying,” the vacationer, known as CurvySam on TikTok, said in a poolside video that shows how close the work zone is to her villa.

“Stuff has fallen in the pool from the construction site,” she added.

In her “frustrating” video’s caption, Sam also noted that her two nights at the villa “have cost me more than my entire nine days in Bali so far.”

Adding insult to injury, the construction — ongoing from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. — hindered Sam’s chance to film content for her plus-size fashion page, she added, sharing the boisterous sounds in another clip.

Honestly, this is my worst nightmare. It’s a beautiful remote location and it’s not the owners fault and it’s not the workers fault. Unfortunately this is just how things are in Bali. I looked on Google Maps, I read all of their reviews. The Villa Manager is so wonderful and so apologetic. I just really needed this mental reprieve, and to have some quiet. Plus I planned to film video contant, you all know I love chatting to the camera. These two nights have cost me more than my entire 9 days in Bali so far. Sigh. I will still get to shoot my new range for @Hildas ~ Size Inclusive Robes but its going to be loud with no relaxing or swimming in the pool. Especially with builders dropping so much stuff. Definitely not comfortable having an audience watching. #balivilla #baliaccomodation #baliconstruction

The tormented traveler’s tale is one of many recent vacation miscues that the island of Bali has hosted.

However, in many other recent cases, locals are critical of tourists who are ruining the scenic home.

Recent reports have damned travelers for having sex in public, breaking traffic laws, and being disrespectful of sacred grounds.

Others have been working illegally as tattoo artists and smuggling drugs as well.

Bali has also seen an unwelcome influx of foreign, spiritual entrepreneurs who will use the island for pricey meditation or sex therapy sessions following fame from Julia Roberts’ 2010 film “Eat Pray Love.”

Influencers flocking to post content in Bali have been criticized as well.
