I planned a surprise trip to Disneyland for my kids — it went horribly wrong

She wasn’t too happy about the happiest place on Earth.

A 6-year-old girl has been caught on camera complaining after her mom told her they were going on a surprise trip to Disneyland Paris.

Little Poppy Lisle was tearfully seen saying that she “wanted to go to school” as opposed to the famous theme park in a video filmed by her mom, Heather.

The UK mother told Kennedy News & Media that she and her partner, Tom, had secretly planned the Disney adventure for Poppy and her twin sister, Ruby.

“The night before, I told them their teacher had just emailed and it was a non-school-uniform day,” the mom explained of her elaborate plan.

The morning of the trip to Paris, Heather and Tom told the twins they needed to take their grandmother to the airport before school.

Once arrived there, though, they dropped the bombshell vacation news.

“When we got to the airport, we started the video in the car park,” Heather stated. “They were saying ‘We’re going to be late [for school].’

“I told them they weren’t going to school, and we had a surprise. We got out the boarding passes, but Poppy started kicking off,” she added.

The rambunctious redhead “cried her eyes out,” according to Heather.

In the mom’s video, the sulking daughter declares: “I want to go to school!”

However, twin sister Ruby reacted far more positively to the news of the international vacation.

“Ruby is obsessed with Marvel superheroes like Spider-Man, so she fell into my arms and pretended to faint,” Heather told Kennedy News. “Then I got smothered in kisses and happiness.”

Poppy, meanwhile, eventually had a change of heart when the family finally arrived in the City of Light.

Heather said the 6-year-old “absolutely loved” the trip to Disneyland and shared photos that showed both of her daughters beaming as they donned mouse ears and cozied up to a life-size Eeyore.

However, Poppy’s tears subsequently started flowing again — this time because she didn’t want to leave the theme park.

“Poppy was hysterically crying, saying she didn’t want to leave and begging me to stay for one more day, so it was a completely opposite reaction [to her initial response to news of the trip],” the mom stated.

“I’ve tried to instill Disney in them over the years, because I’m a massive Disney fan, but they didn’t really take to it until we got there,” she added.

“Now we’re watching Disney films every other day.”

However, the little girls aren’t so thrilled when their mom makes them rewatch the video in which she reveals the surprise trip to Paris.

“When I show the twins the video, Poppy goes bright red and tells me off,” Heather said. “Ruby thinks it’s funny — they say it’s so embarrassing.”
