I ordered a vegan in-flight meal — what I got was a ‘joke’

She’s not motivated by this vegan meal.

A motivational speaker has furiously slammed KLM Dutch Airlines for her lackluster vegan meal during her six-hour flight from Accra, Ghana to London, claiming she only received fruit and nuts for the entire 4,500-mile-long journey.

Juanita Headley called the meal a “joke,” saying she was only given pineapple pieces, a tangerine and a handful of nuts as the airline’s in-flight meal. For the second service, she said she was presented with a cold vegan wrap, a banana and an additional bowl of nuts.

“Thank God I don’t have a nut allergy or I would have been on fruit rations,” the irate London resident told JamPress.

“In this day and age where veganism isn’t a new phenomena it is unacceptable that a six-hour long-haul flight don’t carry a few extra meals for situations like this,” she added.

Headley said at the very least, the airline should make sure the vegetarian option is also vegan.

“That would make life very simple for crew and passengers,” she pointed out.

The Post has contacted KLM for comment.

The weary traveler uploaded snaps of the food online, which left her fellow vegans fuming over the lack of food.

In 2023 that’s simply outrageous,” one shocked user wrote.

“Sorry you’ve had this experience, I’ve had similar but in 2014 and ever since I’ve always carried food just in case,” another added, with someone else described the entire meal as an “afterthought.”

“How difficult is it to have an alpro yogurt, tomato, broccoli and vegan cheese pasta?” one user raged. “Basic stuff.”

Others were less sympathetic, telling the woman she should just bring her own food.

“I reckon you’ll survive six hours,” they snarked.
