I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me when I got this infection

An Arkansas teen said she discovered that her boyfriend was cheating on her with seven other women after she contracted a urinary tract infection.

Tori McFarlin, 19, had been dating her boyfriend — whose identity has not been revealed — for a month when she suddenly contracted a UTI, reported JamPress.

After reading commentary online that claimed UTIs, though not sexually transmitted like STIs, could stem from cheating partners, McFarlin began noticing several red flags.

Days later, her fears were confirmed when she spotted a text on her boyfriend’s phone from another woman.

“I noticed he had a message from a girl named Anna and her contact specific was set to do not disturb,” recalled McFarlin

“The message preview said ‘I love you too’ … My heart dropped to my stomach.”

“I clicked on the message and that’s when I saw them. He had been sending her messages that read ‘I’m in love with you’, ‘the girl I’m with is just here keeping me company,’ ” added McFarlin.

According to the enraged teen, her then-boyfriend allegedly sent hateful messages to the other girl about how McFarlin didn’t mean anything to him.

“There were just all of these hateful messages about how I didn’t mean anything at all to him, sent with the timestamp of me cuddled up sleeping thinking I was safe in his arms,” cried McFarlin.

McFarlin confronted her sleeping boyfriend about the messages and told him to take her home. The boyfriend then begged and pleaded with her not to end the relationship.

“I woke him up angry and told him plain and simple to take me home,” stated McFarlin.

“He asked why and told him I read these messages and I needed to go home.”

“He begged and pleaded to talk about it, he even got on his hands and knees for me not to go and to break up with him,” she added.

In the end, McFarlin decided to give him a second chance. However, things took a turn for the worst.

McFarlin said she continued to suffer from the UTI for the next two years and would often question if she was being cheated on or not.

She finally got her answer in March.

“I looked through his phone one day because I had a suspicion, I had a gut feeling he wasn’t being truthful and I was right,” recalled McFarlin.

“He had messages, pictures, videos, etc, from women he had intercourse with while he was on ‘work weekends.’ “

“I was upset and hurt. I blamed myself afterwards until I realized that it wasn’t my fault,” she added.

McFarlin recalled how depressed she got after ending things with the unfaithful boyfriend.

“I didn’t leave my bed, didn’t brush my hair, I [was] a complete mess. I cried every day for hours,” lamented McFarlin.

“One piece of advice I would give to anyone who has been cheated on is to keep your standards high and your expectations low.”

Months later, McFarlin reported that she has found the “man of her dreams” and that they’ve been in a relationship for seven months.

“After around two months on Tinder, I got a message from a guy who lived 30 minutes away from me and he asked if we could hang out,” said McFarlin.

“It’s been seven months for a man that worships the ground I walk on [and] treats me like royalty constantly.”
