I confronted a woman who stole my train seat — she argued with me

Yet another travel outburst has rattled TikTok after one user posted an altercation between himself and a fellow train passenger.

Captioned “sorry i pay for my place,” the viral clip shows the TikToker, who goes by @mr_boris_becker online, demanding his assigned seat back from a woman occupying it.

The video, which captured the attention of 7.4 million viewers, drummed up the age-old debate over seat swapping.

“My place is 103,” the TikToker began, recording the situation from his point of view.

The unnamed woman in his seat attempts to point out another available seat, but the TikToker demanded the seat he paid for.

“I need my place, I’m so sorry,” he continued, saying it would be “difficult” to find another seat.

The woman tried to argue with him — The TikToker explained that his seat is 103, which the woman was occupying, and that he needed her to move elsewhere.

Smiling and agreeing to move, the woman got up and grabbed her things – but not before other passengers chimed in.

But the TikToker simply told them to “calm down.”

Disgruntled viewers struck up debate in the comments below.

“The audacity of the other woman interrupting even tho he’s right wow,” one baffled user wrote.

“This happens all too often, entitled people think rules don’t apply to them, then have the audacity to moan when confronted,” another snarked.

“I’ll NEVER understand why they don’t sit in their assigned places,” chimed in another.

“The audacity of her asking him to find another seat while she’s sitting in the seat that he paid for,” agreed someone else.

“Why are people backing her up,” questioned a shocked viewer. “If i pay for seat 103, seat 103 is where i’m going to sit. end of discussion.”

“Why is he apologizing for wanting the seat he paid for,” inquired another.

The train debacle is the latest in a never-ending controversy over seat swapping while traveling. Typically reserved for planes, this TikToker isn’t the first person to fuel the heated debate.

Earlier this month, a resurfaced Reddit thread went viral, in which a traveler detailed his experience of refusing to give up his seat for a mother whose toddler was seated next to him.

A young woman also revealed her nightmarish trip online after a woman berated her for refusing to trade seats with her teenage son so they could sit together.

The TikToker said the unnamed woman then muttered profanities under her breath for the duration of the flight.
