How to fold socks properly to save space and make them last

The UK-based Sockshop is sharing the proper way to fold socks — if you’ve got 20 seconds to spare per pair.
“Organize your sock drawer using this one simple trick,” the shop wrote in a TikTok that has taken off with 1.3 million views since it was posted in May.
“This easy folding hack saves space AND keeps your socks in better condition for longer.”
The technique involves placing one sock over the other to form a cross. Fold each half of the horizontal sock inwards and flip the whole thing over.
Roll the vertical sock into the middle and tuck it into the other sock.
You should be left with a thick square.
The 21-second clip left some social media users feeling defeeted.
“I’ve not got time for that,” one TikToker laughed.
“That looks like it takes ages,” another grimaced.
“I just throw all my socks in the drawer and take out two. They don’t even have to match anymore,” a third declared.
