offers private island for socially distant Friendsgiving

No man is an island, unless you and your “quaran-team” book this entire private island retreat for Friendsgiving.

As part of a promotion, travel site is offering up a three-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot vacation home in the Florida Keys for less than $50 per person each night for a weeklong November stay. The private island property — surrounded by palm trees and blue-water vistas, and able to fit up to six people — typically runs $1,400 nightly.

The first-come, first-served booking opens at 10 a.m. ET on Oct. 27 for the offer, which runs for stays from Nov. 14 to 21. The total cost of the seven nights is $2,000 plus tax.

“2020 has really made us cherish the little things, like hanging out with friends IRL,” the website says.

The home looks out to water at all

Despite its remote nature, there’s plenty for a group of friends to do. The home, located off the coast of Marathon, Florida, comes equipped with a pool, a boat, kayaks and paddleboards — as well as a boat dock and a helicopter launch pad. What’s more, will even provide a private chef for one night to serve up a Friendsgiving dinner from the pad’s open kitchen.

Early this month, announced an offer to “live under a rock” between Nov. 2 and 7 to escape election week. That stay, located 50 feet below ground in New Mexico, is in a design-inspired cave with a living area and a small kitchen.
