Haley pens valentines for Trump to send Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un

Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley is ushering in Valentine’s Day with a tongue-in-cheek dig at her old boss, former President Donald Trump, by penning some “love letters” on his behalf.

“Happy Valentine’s Day from Donald Trump to dictators around the world! Over the years, Trump has professed his love for the world’s most brutal dictators and praised their strength and leadership skills,” the Haley campaign said in a statement.

Her campaign rolled out several biting “love letters” spotlighting quotes from Trump, 77, about some of the top adversaries of the US.

Haley, 52, who served as Trump’s US ambassador to the UN from 2017 to 2018, has long leaned on her foreign policy experience as part of her core pitch to voters.

“Roses are red. Violets are blue. I love dictators & they love me too,” the first one directed at Trump himself said.

Trump’s campaign quickly brushed off the slight.

“Nikki ‘Birdbrain’ Haley has a minor league brain in a major league world. She is simply too stupid to comprehend that President Trump brought peace and prosperity to the country,” spokesperson Steven Cheung told The Post.

“Meanwhile, Haley wants to bow down to China and throw America into forever wars.”

“He [Kim] wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters. We fell in love,” another Haley campaign “Valentine” aimed at North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said.

The derisive card is a reference to a comment Trump made during a West Virginia rally in 2018 in which he recounted how he and Kim were able to patch things up.

Trump has since made similar remarks about Kim on numerous occasions.

During the back half of his term, the 45th president sought to ease bitterly strained relations with the pariah nation.

Xi Jinping has reportedly assured President Biden that China does not intend to meddle in the 2024 election. Haley Campaign

“He’s strong like granite, he’s strong, I know him very well, President Xi of China…what can I say: he runs 1.4 billion people with an iron hand,” a card addressed to Chinese President Xi Jinping said.

This was something Trump said last year during a rally in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Despite fawning over Xi’s political grip on China at times and hailing his intellect, Trump has talked about cracking down on Beijing.

When asked about rumors he’s contemplating 60% tariffs against China, Trump told Fox News this month, “Maybe it’s going to be more than that.”

Donald Trump’s administration negotiated with Doha Accords with the Taliban, but the Afghanistan government was cut out from those talks. Haley Campaign

“The Taliban, good fighters, I will tell you, good fighters. You have to give them credit for that. They’ve been fighting for a thousand years. What they do is they fight,” a letter to the Taliban said.

Around the time the Taliban toppled the coalition-backed government in Afghanistan in August 2021, Trump went on Fox News and underscored the terrorist group’s strength.

His administration helped broker the Doha Accords, which laid the groundwork for the US withdrawal.

Defenders of Donald Trump note that he imposed severe sanctions on Russia and sent weapons to Ukraine. Haley Campaign

“I called President Putin of Russia to congratulate him on his election victory. The Fake News Media is crazed because they wanted me to excoriate him. They are wrong!” the card addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Back in 2018, Trump rang up Putin and congratulated him on his reelection victory.

He later defended that decision amid fierce criticism.

Putin is once again vying for yet another term as Russia’s head of state.

Trump has long grappled with critiques of him singing the praises of dictators.

“You know when I say he’s brilliant everyone says, ‘Oh that’s terrible,’” Trump vented to Fox News with a look of indignation while discussing his praise of Xi. “He runs 1.4 billion people with an iron fist. Smart. Brilliant. Everything perfect.”

Haley is Trump’s last standing major Republican rival in the 2024 arena.

Trump has won every major contest where delegates were up for grabs by double digits.

He also touts a seemingly insurmountable lead in the polls.

The next major contest is on Feb. 24 in South Carolina, where Haley served as governor from 2011 to 2017.

If Trump prevails and clinches the GOP nod for the presidency, Haley has indicated she intends to vote for him in the general election over President Biden.
