Flock of 44 sheep that escaped farm found two days later

They tried to pull the wool over their eyes.

A brazen flock of 44 sheep that managed to escape from their owner’s farm in Ontario, Canada, were found two days later.

On Wednesday, the Ontario Provincial Police took to X asking for help in locating the creatures, who had gone missing the day before in Beckwith Township, about an hour south of Ottawa.

The following day, OPP posted an update, noting the wayward animals “returned home and are in good health.”

“The owner contacted us today just after noon to say the sheep were located on the road near their residence in good health. All accounted for,” Constable Joe Tereschuk, an OPP spokesman, told the Ottawa Citizen.

Despite the recent wet weather in the area, the sheep were “bone dry when found,” Tereschuk told Hometownist.

However, he said, “There is no evidence to suggest they were stolen.”
