Flight attendant on how to shoot your shot on flights

This wingwoman isn’t just serving coffee — she’s spilling tea.

There’s almost nothing worse than getting shot down at 30,000 feet in the air.

And so, to avoid any further awkward encounters, one flight attendant is warning frisky frequent flyers against making this fatal mistake when attempting to woo a hot member of the cabin crew.

“Here’s a little 101 tip on how not to hit on a flight attendant,” shared Tyra, a skyway steward of six years, in a trending TikTok how-to.

“OK, do not hit on a flight attendant in flight … during flight, whatever,” urged the brunette, based in Los Angeles. “Do not do that because you are making it awkward.”

“And, you know what, the flight attendant just has to be nice to you,” she added. “It’s just a really uncomfortable situation and we do not like that.”

Tyra’s far from the only high-altitude hostess to blow the whistle on in-flight inappropriateness.

Suzanne Bucknaman aircraft staffer from the UK, says she’s been struck by the “ick” while catching overly passionate passengers enjoying foreplay.

“A kiss on the lips or handholding doesn’t warrant ick status, but making out and putting a blanket over each other’s laps gets very uncomfortable for everyone in the vicinity,” she explained in a March 2024 interview. “I’ve seen several couples attempt to join the mile-high club either in the bathroom or, worse, at their seats with said blanket over them.”

Destanie Armstrong, an in-the-clouds caretaker in the US, separately said dopey dudes have even flirted with her in the hopes of scoring prime airplane perks.

“There have been multiple times that men have hit on me thinking that I’m gonna move them to first class because they told me I was pretty,” recalled the blonde in a viral video.

“He was like, ‘You’re so pretty. This is the most beautiful cabin crew I’ve ever seen,’” she remembered. “[He then said], ‘Also, I see there’s a first-class seat open, like, I would love to take it.’”

“I literally dead–s looked at him and was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to take that compliment now because I know you’re just trying to use me for first class,’” Armstrong spat.

But for folks hoping to make a genuine connection with a sky-high siren, Tyra suggests this one smooth move.

“If you wanna shoot your shot,” she began, “then your best bet is just handing your number over to the flight attendant when you are getting off that plane.”

“Then you’re not making it awkward,” the beauty continued, “And you’re leaving it up to the flight attendant to decide whether or not she wants to text you.”
