Boston Marathon runner caught pooping in stranger’s yard

If you gotta go, you gotta go.

A Boston Marathon runner was caught on camera Monday dropping their shorts on someone’s front lawn in order to relieve themselves during the 26.2 mile-long race.

Over 30,000 marathoners partook in the annual run, with many of them finishing in three, four, five hours, or more — and often forgoing a bathroom break.

For at least one runner, that was simply too long to wait.

In the video, the marathon participant can be seen standing in the far corner of the front lawn, dropping their pants and squatting down.

About eight seconds into the video, a spectator walks down the home’s front pathway, stopping in their tracks after noticing the runner answering nature’s call.

With their shorts around their ankles, the runner and spectator appear to get into an awkward standoff.

The two stare each other down for about 20 seconds while the runner continues to squat.

Once finished, the runner stands and pulls their shorts back over their waist before cutting through some trees and re-entering the marathon course.

The homeowner whose lawn was unexpectedly fertilized shared the video to Reddit, titling the post, “One of the marathon runners just took a s*** in my yard (video inside).”

In a thread below the video, the homeowner noted that there were plenty of portable toilets located throughout the course for runners to use and that there was “absolutely zero reason for someone to trespass to take a s*** on a lawn.”

Some of the still-visible comments on Reddit defended the runner’s actions, with one person noting, “I’m sure the runner was really embarrassed to have to do that. I wouldn’t call her out on it any further.”

Others expressed anger on behalf of the homeowner, as one commenter noted, “People are weird as h*** man, I would be livid if someone took a s*** on my property, running a marathon or not.”

The explosive video also garnered plenty of jokes, as one Redditor noted: “Can we label this as a s***post?”

While the video and some of the comments it provoked were removed from Reddit, it can still be viewed on Twitter.

Marathon organizers said on their website there are toilets at every water and medical stop throughout the race course.

Toilets are located at every water and medical station throughout the race, as well as in several additional locations, marathon organizers state on the website.

“Please respect the communities through which the Boston Marathon runs by taking advantage of these facilities, if needed,” marathon organizers insist — though clearly, some runners missed the memo.

This year’s winners — Evans Chebet and Hellen Obiri, both of Kenya — went without bathroom breaks and finished their races in 2:05:54 and 2:21:38, respectively.
