‘Armed and dangerous’ inmate Kyle Skaggs on the run in Kentucky

Authorities in Kentucky are frantically searching for an “armed and dangerous” inmate who escaped from custody this week.

Kyle Aaron Skaggs has been missing since he walked out of a home incarceration program at the Hope Center in Lexington on Monday, WKYT reported.

“He is considered armed and dangerous,” the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office warned locals on Wednesday.

As of Thursday morning, officials have not confirmed what Skaggs was charged with before his escape.

Prior to being incarcerated, he had ties to Flemingsburg, WKYT said.

News of Skagg’s escape comes on the heels of a series of disturbing prison breaks across the United States.

Last month, four inmates brazenly broke out of Mississippi’s Raymond Detention Center. Two of the escapees were eventually killed, while the other two were recaptured after an extensive manhunt.
