Michigan woman gets stuck in outhouse trying to retrieve her Apple Watch

She had a crappy time.

A woman got stuck in an outhouse toilet in Michigan while trying to retrieve her Apple Watch that fell inside — prompting a bizarre rescue and warning from police to avoid sifting through the “containment area.”

The messy ordeal unfolded Tuesday in Dixon Lake — about 180 miles outside Grand Rapids — when the unidentified woman “lowered herself inside the toilet to retrieve” her watch and became trapped, according to Michigan State Police.

Conservation officers, as well as state police responded to the woman’s cry for help and had to use a “strap” to “hoist the woman out to safety.”

The toilet had to be removed as well.

“If you lose an item in an outhouse toilet, do not attempt to venture inside the containment area,” police warned. “Serious injury may occur.”

It is unclear if the woman sustained any injuries or if she was treated by medics.

State police released photos of the incident, showing the toilet with the seat up and a black rope tied around the grab bar behind the toilet.

The woman was not identified and it is unclear if the toilet will be replaced.
