Georgia special grand jury recommended charges for Senators

A special grand jury recommended that Atlanta’s district attorney seek to charge three current and former US senators in connection with former President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

The panel, whose 28-page report was released Friday, recommended Fulton County DA Fani Willis indict Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue R-Ga.), as well as former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and Boris Epshteyn, a top adviser to the 45th president.

David Perdue. — A special grand jury is seeking to charge David Perdue and two others in connection with Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

Kelly Loeffler. — The panel, whose 28-page report was released Friday, recommended Fulton County DA Fani Willis indict Perdue, Graham (R-SC) and former Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) (above).

Ultimately, Willis indicted 19 people — including Trump, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro on charges including violating the Peach State’s anti-racketeering law.

Graham, Loeffler, Perdue, Flynn and Epshteyn were not among those charged.
