Woman, 22, stabs grandfather in face after being asked to take a shower: cops

A young Louisiana woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her grandfather in the face after being asked to take a shower during an argument over her hygiene habits.

Carrington Harris, 22, started wielding a kitchen knife in the wake of a tense exchange with her grandparents Tuesday at a home in Keithville, authorities allege.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Harris allegedly went ballistic after being asked to bathe — trashing belongings in the house and switching off the power to the home.

When her grandparents tried to restrain her, Harris broke free and ran to grab a knife from the kitchen, authorities said.

She then allegedly stabbed her grandfather before fleeing to hide in the woods.

She was found hours later behind a nearby home, the sheriff’s office said.

The granddad was taken to the Willis-Knighton South hospital by first responders; it wasn’t immediately clear how severely injured he was.
