Brittany Holbrook threatened to gut ex ‘like a deer’ days before alleged slaying: victim’s friends

A Florida woman drunkenly admitted she planned to butcher her ex-boyfriend “like she was gutting a deer” in the days before she allegedly murdered her new partner, the victim’s friends claim.

Brittany Holbrook, 33, is accused of fatally shooting her 30-year-old boyfriend Tyler Nulisch in their Key West home Saturday.

She originally told cops the deadly shooting happened during a “gap in her memory” before backtracking and claiming Nulisch had been attacking her.

But during a night out with a woman who was dating one of Nulisch’s friends just two days earlier, Holbrook allegedly let slip that she already had violent schemes brewing in her mind, according to Fox News.

After a few drinks, Holbrook brought up her ex-boyfriend, the woman allegedly told Jessica Stiegel, another friend of Nulisch.

“I’m going to kill him and take a knife into his stomach and rip upward to his throat,” Stiegel said the woman recounted to her.

“It was like she was describing gutting a deer.”

Holbrook was reportedly drunk and sloppy when she revealed her violent thoughts, which friends claim is not abnormal behavior from the woman.

“She seemed so normal most of the time but when she drank, she’d become a monster and a switch would flip, and she’d start screaming and throwing things and hitting Tyler,” said Stiegel, whose boyfriend is Nulisch’s best friend from childhood.

Her violent past leads Stiegal to believe Holbrook was drinking during the shooting — and that the claim she was Nulisch’s victim is completely fabricated, she said.

Holbrook told cops Nulisch had held her against the wall of their home and choked her with his hands shortly before he was shot to death in the early hours of June 17.

She originally told cops she didn’t remember anything between going to bed and holding a blood-soaked Nulisch after he was shot.

Their roommate, Jordan Kinn, however, told cops Nulisch used his final words to identify Holbrook as his murderer.

“That b—h shot me in the back,” Nulisch reportedly told Kinn.

Holbrook continues to deny that she fired the gun, and cops quickly refuted that she was a victim of strangulation.

Holbrook was charged with one count of felony murder and was held on $750,000 bond, according to the local sheriff’s office.
