Missing Oregon mom of 3 Joanna Speaks found dead outside barn

The remains of a missing Oregon mom were discovered outside a barn in a remote area of Washington State, a report said on Monday.

Police believe the body of Joanna Speaks, 32, was “moved” to the barn in Ridgefield, Wash. after the mother of three was killed due to blunt force trauma to the head, according to KGW-TV.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Speaks’ death was being investigated as a homicide.

The woman’s stepsister, Ariel Hamby, was shocked about the gruesome discovery.

“It keeps me up at night thinking that whoever did this to her, blunt force trauma to the head and neck, I mean that is violent, and that person is walking around,” Hamby said.

Speaks leaves behind three children: a 7-year-old girl and two teen boys.

The family started a GoFundMe page to help with her burial expenses.

“Her children have made it clear that they would like to keep a piece of her with them, but also have a place to visit where her name and life will be engraved and never forgotten,” reads a description on the GoFundMe page. “We’re hoping that we can at least give them that.”

A suspect in her death has not been identified.
