6 puppies found duct taped in box and left to die by Texas road

Six puppies have miraculously been rescued in Texas after they were found duct-taped in a box and left to die by a roadside.

The Pyrenees-mix pooches were only recently discovered when a passerby spotted the taped-up corrugated box dumped by the side of the road, an animal rescue group said Wednesday.

The man got a furry surprise when he went to investigate, according to Fuzzy Friends Rescue, an animal rescue center in Waco, Texas.

“How evil a person’s heart has to be to be able to leave six puppies taped in a box with no means of escape,” the shelter said in a Facebook post.

It wasn’t immediately clear how long the puppies had been in the box before they were found.

The conditions of the puppies also wasn’t known.

The passerby scooped the canines up and took them to the animal shelter.

“He has nowhere to keep them, but thankfully, he didn’t leave them on the side of the road to die,” the shelter said.

Fuzzy Friends Rescue said it could care for the dogs but called for sponsors to help cover the cost of initial vaccines, microchips and intake exams.
