$2.5K Louis Vuitton boots that look like human leg divide fans: ‘It’s almost creepy’

These boots are made for mocking.

In the latest perplexing fashion fete, Louis Vuitton debuted a pair of ill-fitting boots dyed to mimic a woman’s leg, white ankle socks and a black stiletto.

The optical illusion knee-highs, which ring in just under $2,500 in only two skin tone options, can only be described as “weird s—t,” according to fashion influencer Isabelle Allain, known best as @izzipoopi or just Izzi by her 1.4 million TikTok followers.

The content creator unboxed her boots — which, she said, have an “integrated calf” — on camera, giggling as she pulled the pair of designer footwear out of the trademark orange box.

“They were on the runway like a year ago and I knew that the second they would come out I had to get them,” she said in the clip, which scored 5.7 million views.

The shoes fall in line with a series of jovial — and subsequently viral — pieces that have baffled the internet, such as MSCHF’s Big Red Boots or the memeable brand’s micro Louis Vuitton-esque handbag.

According to the item description of the “Illusion” boots, the head-scratching design from the fashion house’s FW23 collection is a nod to the “surrealist art movement.”

The calfskin kicks, which also come in an ankle boot variety, proved a bit difficult to style for Allain, who paired the shoes with a black, sparkling skirt with feathers at the hem and a matching top.

“This is so f––king weird,” she gasped while putting the outfit together, staring down at her faux pins. “It’s almost creepy. It’s giving doll legs.”

In another clip, she tried to style the boots with a black mini skirt, which she said looked “so f–king cool.”

“I thought I wanted to return these boots, but now I want to keep them forever,” she gushed.

Unfortunately, even her most fashion-forward followers couldn’t get on board, comparing it to the creepy “uncanny valley” trend on TikTok or the leg lamp from “A Christmas Story.” A rare few, however, applauded the boots, saying they “slay” and likening them to Betty Boop.

“Some Ppl have too much money,” decried one user.

“Girl, you bought LV cankles?!” another said, referring to the shoe’s bulkiness.

“You spent LV money on those?” one flabbergasted viewer exclaimed.

“This is the proof that it doesn’t matter how ridiculous the product is or looks, but if is a luxury brand who made it, people will buy it,” someone else critiqued.
